Makeup is supposed to enhance natural beauty, not cover it all up! The “No Makeup Makeup” fad is huge right now. The idea of natural looking, dewy, glowy skin has been used everywhere by the most well known makeup artist this season. After reading tons articles and watching an unhealthy amount of YouTube tutorials, I’ve finally found the perfect way to wear “No Makeup Makeup” with a summer glow.
STEP ONE: MOISTURIZING GEL
When trying to accomplish a more natural makeup look, I avoid primer and just stick with a lightweight moisturizer or gel. I’ve been using Clinque’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel as a base for my makeup and I really love the way it makes my skin look and feel.
STEP TWO: LIGHTWEIGHT FOUNDATION AND ILLUMINATING SERUM
Cakey face makeup is the last thing I want for any makeup look. If you are trying to keep natural feel to your face, the best options to go for are either tinted moisturizers or very lightweight foundations. I just recently bought Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation with SPF 25 and Chanel’s Soleil Fluide. I’ve been using the foundation mixed with a small amount of the illuminating fluid and apply a fair amount of the mixture to my face then blend it out with a moist beauty blender. Mixing these two products leaves my skin very naturally dewy and glowy looking and is perfect for summer.
STEP THREE: EYE BRIGHTENING CONCEALER
Dark eyes? Yeah, I’ve been there. After trying so many different concealers, I’ve finally found the one. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch eye brightening concealer is so effective when it comes to clearing up dark circles and helping out puffy eyes.
STEP FOUR: LOOSE POWDER
Too much powder is what can really mess up a glowy skin look, but it is important to set your foundation and concealer. I apply NARS’s Loose Powder with a big kabuki brush and try to use as little as possible.
STEP FIVE: NUDE-PINK BLUSH
It’s a given that you need some color to your face, but for this look I don’t like using anything too harsh. NARS’s Gina Blush flows perfectly with this look and looks so natural.
STEP SIX: MINIMAL EYE MAKEUP
Don’t ruin the natural look with a ton of dark eye makeup! I typically just curl my lashes and add a layer or two of my Diorshow mascara.
