Everybody needs a little Karl in their life! Brutally honest, and straight to the point, you either love him or you hate him. Karl Lagerfeld (aka “Fashions Pope”) has been through it all in the fashion world and has inspired hundreds of people in the industry for years. Not only is his work “out of this world amazing”, but his words are gold to fashion crazed people like me. Here are some of the life and style lessons I’ve learned via computer screen from Karl Lagerfeld.
“What I love best in life is new starts.”
Life is all about new chapters, so embrace them! Have fun when life changes, and make every second count.
“Clear thinking at the wrong moment can stifle creativity.”
Let your mind flow, let ideas become real, and don’t think too hard. Creativity is defeated by a society obsessed mind.
“No one is ever over-dressed or underdressed with a little black dress.”
In fashion, simplicity is key. Over doing it can look cheap, fast.
“Personality begins where comparison ends.”
Not everyone is meant to be the same, so all you can do is be yourself. Being the real you isn’t possible until you let go of comparison.
“Youthfulness is about how you live not when you were born.”
Let loose and have fun. Don’t let anything (not even your age) get in the way of living life to the fullest.
