RADIANT SUMMER MAKEUP

Summer is here! I can’t believe how fast this year is going by. I love lightening up my makeup for summer so I wanted to show you a few products that I love to use during my favorite time of the year.

Prep: Makeup prep is actually the most important step to achieving this look. After washing and exfoliating my face with my Clarisonic Mia and Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser, I use the Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask. This mask helps brighten skin and the results are actually clear after one use. Next, rinse off the mask and put on your favorite moisturizer. After I apply primer. I don’t like most primers because they feel sticky or pasty, so when I found the Farsali Unicorn Essence priming serum I instantly loved it. This serum is so lightweight and really helps my skin glow and hold makeup.

Foundation: When I’m wanting more of a full coverage look that keeps my skin looking radiant, I love mixing my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation with the Lancôme Énergie De Vie liquid serum. This combo has a way more lightweight feel than foundation alone and also gives amazing coverage.

Concealer: If you can tell already, I’m a big fan of concoctions. I have a few different concealers that I usually mix to get the perfect shade for my skin. Sometimes, one concealer is too light, and one is too dark which leads me to mixing the shades for the perfect look. I apply concealer under my eyes, down my nose, and over blemishes, then blend it out with my Beauty Blender.

Cream Bronzer: If I’m looking for a little more color, I like to use a tiny bit of my Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Longer Foundation Stick under my cheek bones and under my hairline. I get a deeper, bronzer shade than my skin in the foundation stick and blend it out with my Hourglass Vanish foundation brush.

Powder: I usually steer clear of heavy powders because it tends to make my skin look dry, but if I’m wanting my makeup to stay on for hours, I will take my It Cosmetics All Over Brush and use a very little bit of my Too Faced loose powder to set my foundation and concealer.

Blush: For extra glowing skin, use a blush that has a golden shimmer. My favorite shades are Nars Orgasm and Nars Deep Throat.

Highlighter: Highlighting is probably my favorite part of doing my makeup and most times I go a little overboard with the shimmer. I always stick with Hourglass, Becca, and Nars highlighters, but for this look I used my Nars Bord de Plage palette.

Brows: No matter the occasion or the look, Glossier’s Boy Brow is always my go-to for brows.

Eyeshadow: Shimmery eyes are so gorgeous and super easy. Lorac has the best shimmery eyeshadows that don’t flake compliment all eyes.

Eyeliner and Mascara: Everyone has a different method for eyeliner, but I usually just do my waterline and lash line with a pencil liner. If I want a more dramatic look, I’ll use my Stila Liquid Eyeliner. As for mascara, Benefit’s Roller Lash is by far my favorite.

Skin Mist: To finish off the look, I used the Tate Ready, Set, Radiant Skin Mist.
