Most young people can agree that Instagram has had a pretty unique influence on the way that we find our own personal style. For me, following certain people, reviewing their style, and becoming inspired by it has defined my personal aesthetic. As we all have our own Insta fashion gurus, I thought I could share mine below.
Ava Nope is the epitome of true-to-self cool girl style. While turning dust bags into tops and working along side Marc Jacobs, her Instagram reveals a deeper side of fashion.
Street style photographer Phil Oh brings his followers worldwide fashion at the tip of their finger. His photos are beautifully composed and show multiple perspectives of style. Also, he knows how to throw out an occasional hilarious caption.
We Wore What
Anyone who knows me, knows that Danielle Bernstein has been my go to influencer since the golden days of middle school. If you haven’t been following WeWoreWhat on Instagram, change that now. She has not only influenced the brands that I love and the style that has evolved in my own life, but the confidence that I have in my self. Since I began following WeWoreWhat on the site and on Instagram, the one prevailing trend has been her fearless attitude towards style, opinion, and vulnerability.
As the founder of Same Los Angeles, it’s hard to expect anything less than Shea Marie. Wearing everything from trench coats to ski suits to ballgowns, Marie portrays her aesthetic through colorful photos of her dreamy life. Her undaunted style and ability to make every piece fit perfectly together gives her the upper hand on my Instagram it list.
Sonia Lyson’s just-go-with-it style is frankly the reason I love fashion. When life is filled with the expected, Lyson’s looks are always a breath of fresh air. Every post holds something that grabs my attention whether its a zebra print pair of over the knee boots or a hot pink fur coat.
